Local Professional Walleye Angler, Jeff Dougherty from Sioux Falls, SD will be the featured presenter at this event. Jeff is a life long South Dakota resident and a Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s sponsored Pro Staff walleye tournament fisherman. Jeff will provide a short presentation to the youth about the life long joy of fishing and getting active outdoors.
Local SDGF&P officer Jason Nelson will then provide the kids with some important information about fishing in South Dakota. Following these presentations, the kids will have the opportunity to participate in Hands on Clinics. They will learn the basics of cleaning your catch, tips and skills on casting and actually get to try their hand at catching a fish!
